5 Inspiring Books That Can Transform Your Life and Business

What do you do when you feel stuck and unmotivated? Some people go for a run to clear the cobwebs and declutter the mind, some people strike a yoga pose, others lose themselves in their favorite hobbies, creating headspace for fresh new ideas. I tend to go and seek refuge in inspiring books that never fail to give an extra boost of motivation when I need it the most.

Below are the books I tend to come back to over and over again that made an incredible impact not only on my life but on countless lives of other people. Enjoy!

5 Inspiring Books That Can Transform Your Life and Business

1. Think and Grow Rich

This book written by Napoleon Hill back in 1930 is still one of the best sources for advice and motivation when discussing personal growth and self-improvement.

Sold in over 70 million copies, this book is more than just a tool that will help you manage your business and personal life, it is an entire philosophy regarding the positive effects that the Mastermind Principle. This principle states that growth and strength only come through never-ending effort and struggle. A truly inspiring book and an absolute must-have on your bookshelf.

2. The 4-Hour Workweek

It’s no secret that one of the main reasons for lack of determination and motivation among people are exhaustion and overwork. Based on personal experience, Tim Ferriss describes his road from working 14 hours a day every day of the week to a new life with a lot less working hours. The key to all that, according to the author, is checking your email only once per day and outsourcing every small task to virtual assistants.

📌 This book is on the list for the 5 books that changed my life. The principles of automation, the 80/20 rule, and Parkinson’s law were all things I discovered while reading this book. The most important to me, however, was the idea of “mini-retirements” and not waiting until you’re at your physically weakest (retirement) to enjoy life and not working. I cannot even begin to summarise how useful this book has been to me, but I have read it twice per year since I bought it; a truly brilliant book.

3. You are a Badass – How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life

Jen Sincero decided to use her position as a best-selling author and success coach to provide an entertaining alternative to all the self-help books you’d normally dismiss in your search for motivation. This book is a good read that aims at people that are looking to improve their personal life and career. The things that separate it from all other books on this subject are the witty remarks, great constructive humor, and even your occasionally four-letter word.

Instead of focusing on things you need to do in order to reach greatness, it focuses on the main thing that’s holding you from reaching full-potential: which is yourself. Also, it focuses on accepting and owning your flaws in the process of focusing on your strengths and achieve the goals you set for yourself.

4. The Power of Habit

It’s no news that bad habits can ruin your life but perhaps letting them go isn’t the best course of action. This book is focusing on the science that takes place behind habits. It establishes that every habit has three important moments: the cue, the routine, and the rewards. Also known by the name of Habit loop, this book dissects this loop and teaches you how to replace the routine part and keep only the positive parts such as the cue and reward.

📌 Charles Duhigg aims to help anyone focus on the good habits and strengthen self-confidence as a key to obtaining success.
