Tech That Makes Your Life Easier

Tech That Makes Your Life Easier

The art challenges the tech, and the technology inspires the art. – John Lasseter

You’re not alone if you’re feeling stressed out, exhausted or overwhelmed by life moving too fast and an endless to-do list spiraling out of control. In fact, a Center for Disease Control (CDC) study found that 16 percent of women ages 18 to 44 reported feeling very tired or exhausted on most days. Men only reported feeling the same way 9 percent of the time. The reason could point to women taking on more than their share or a difficulty in saying no.

Unfortunately, saying no isn’t always an option and instead more gets added to our list. We may not be able to slow down to the well-deserved rest we’re looking for, but we can take steps to make our life easier. Why not start with some fun tech tools that simplify time in the kitchen to relaxing at work. Here’s how to get started.

Tech That Makes Your Life Easier

iPhone X

The right smartphone can make or break your day and mean the difference between stressing-out or feeling calm. I got my Apple iPhone X and it features an all-screen design with a 5.8-inch Super Retina HD display to take fantastic videos and photos for work or to share with friends.

But it’s not just as great looking phone with a fancy screen. The iPhone X also uses face ID technology to simplify your digital security so you can worry less. The same goes for its water-resistant features. Whether you have kids or are just always on the go, you don’t have to worry about accidental spills and phone killers.

Belkin Wemo Switch

You know that sinking feeling? It’s the one you get when you’re in your car or on a plane for a work trip and worry about all of the things in your home you forgot to turn off. Instead of trying to spy on your home through your security camera or asking a neighbor to go over and check on your appliances (I did that before by the way) and devices you left on, just try a Wemo Switch Smart Plus. Use it with your existing Wi-Fi network to control just about everything in your home from lamps to heaters. Once you plug your appliances or devices into the Wemo Switch, you can control it from your smartphone app.

USB Diffuser

Lavender is known as a calming and relaxing herb and has frequently been used for insomnia, anxiety, depression, and natural stress relief. While lavender aromatherapy can help with your sleep and mood, it also has a wide range of health benefits.

Chances are high, at least one of your friends or family members uses essential oils and has introduced you to calming scents like lavender to de-stress. But there are more ways to get your essential oil fix than with a diffuser. Young Living created a USB Diffuser for your laptop, car or office. It works totally silently and can diffuse in short settings to get your air purified and your body and mind relaxed.

The hard part is figuring out which oils to blend and diffuse, or getting rid of coworkers who want to come by for a quick sniff!

Mr. Coffee Smart Coffeemaker

It’s hard to wake up to a long day of work and domestic bliss without an incentive to get you moving in the morning. Motivation usually needs a jolt, and coffee often does the trick. The Mr. Coffee Smart Coffeemaker brews a cup right from your smart device. You can schedule it to brew at a certain time, or you can change the setting on the fly from your bed if you’re going to catch a few extra minutes of sleep on a rainy day.

Remember that one of the downsides of technology is there are so many gadgets and options to choose from. Start with the ones that truly make an impact to simplify your life and skip the rest. Otherwise, you could end up with so many gadgets and tech tools that you need more technology to manage it all.
